Help Us Tell Our Story, and We'll Tell Yours
Great stories have the transformative power to inspire, connect, and change lives. At the National Speakers Association - Wisconsin (NSA WI), we empower professional speakers to hone their craft and share impactful stories that make a profound difference.

We invite you to be part of this inspiring mission. By sponsoring our annual events, "Last Story Standing" (in January) and "Breaking Through Live” (in May), you’ll help amplify the voices of professional speakers, and in return, we'll shine a spotlight on your story.

As a sponsor, your organization will receive:

    • Prominent recognition during our events
    • Exposure on our website and event promotions
    • Connection with our engaged audience of professional speakers and attendees

Your sponsorship demonstrates a commitment to the art of storytelling and professional development, elevating your visibility and impact.

Have questions about Last Story Standing?
Wonder if it is your year to enter and win??

Join 2025 Chapter Champion Kathie Rotz, 2024 Chapter Champion Paula Houlihan, and 2026 NSA Wisconsin Last Story Standing Competition Coordinator Eliz Greene for a special virtual session to announce this year's process, share tips to prepare, and answer your questions.

    Quick Last Story Standing Details

To enter, craft and record a compelling five-minute story. The story should have a beginning, middle, and end. You should have a lesson in the story with a call-to-action. (We'll explain more!)

There will be three rounds with feedback after each round. Finalists will compete on the gorgeous MYArts Starlight Theater stage on January 23rd, 2026. Finalists also receive professional photos and video of their performance.

The Five Layers of Story Telling
presented by award-winning Broadway producer Nick Demos

As a speaker, your stories are your superpower. They’re what transform a talk from “pretty good” into unforgettable. But too often, speakers stay on the surface—sharing anecdotes without tapping into the deeper resonance that makes audiences lean in, laugh, cry, and remember.

In this transformational session, you’ll discover an ancient yet practical framework: The 5 Layers of Authentic Storytelling. You’ll learn how to craft stories that don’t just inform but truly move people, blending physical details, energy, emotion, wisdom, and universal truth into narratives that set you apart from the crowd.

This is not just theory. You’ll walk away with practical techniques you can immediately apply to your next talk, webinar, or podcast. Whether you’re speaking to a room of 10 or a stadium of 10,000, you’ll learn how to turn your stories into signature assets that amplify your brand and leave a lasting impact.

    Key Benefits for Speakers:

    • Deepen audience connection by building trust quickly and authentically
    • Differentiate yourself with signature stories that become part of your brand identity
    • Expand your reach by turning a single story into scalable content across talks, reels, podcasts, and beyond
    • Gain confidence in sharing personal stories without fear and owning your unique voice on any stage

This isn’t just about telling stories. It’s about elevating your impact as a speaker and making sure your audience remembers you long after you leave the stage.

Nick Demos is a Tony and Olivier Award-winning Broadway producer, award-winning documentary filmmaker, and internationally recognized story coach. With a career spanning the worlds of theater, film, and transformational leadership, Nick has helped thousands of creatives, experts, and executives craft and share the stories that move audiences and change lives.

Nick has produced Broadway hit musicals including Come From Away and Memphis, as well as documentary films such as Body Electric and Invisible. His work has been celebrated for blending artistic excellence with deep human connection.

A sought-after speaker Nick draws from his background as a yoga, breath work, and meditation teacher, weaving Vedantic philosophy into his coaching and leadership training. His upcoming book, Being Leadership, guides the next generation of leaders to lead with authenticity, presence, and story-driven impact.

Nick’s clients learn to tell their “soul stories,” the narratives that don’t just inform, but transform and to use them as powerful tools for influence, visibility, and meaningful change. Whether he’s producing on Broadway, speaking to a room of executives, or coaching one-on-one, Nick’s mission remains the same: to help people own their story, live their purpose, and connect with the world in a way that is both artful and deeply human.

Join us as a speaker or come for the fun and gain some insights and tips as you watch others get coached by our established professional members.

One of the most valuable services offered by NSA-WI is the Speakers Development Lab. All members -- from Past National Presidents and CPAEs to new candidate members -- are welcome to attend. The Lab operates much like a Hollywood “Actors Studio” where speakers, facilitators, seminar leaders, those who sell products or services through public presentations, etc. can go to try out new material, revise current material, practice delivery techniques, etc.

Our goal for the Speakers Lab is to take speakers, facilitators, teacher/leaders at their current level of skill, impact, fee level, etc., and help them move up to the next level. Both those speaking, and observers benefit from the Lab, and the net effect is to increase the skills and impact of each participant.
