Sales Strategies & Systems for Speakers

Remember back to those first few gigs in your speaking career? You knocked it out of the park on stage, received great feedback from attendees, and and maybe you even got a referral that held some promise for a future event down the road. And you thought to yourself, “This is going to be GREAT!!"

Then at some point you realized there might be a little more to this than being great on stage! That’s definitely a big part of it, but it is NOT enough if you want to have a sustainable and thriving professional speaking business.

This is where having sales strategies and systems make all the difference.

In our November chapter program, we are going to spend time on the strategies you can apply immediately to get more paid speaking events on your calendar. After this session you will walk away with a repeatable and measurable process (ones you WILL actually use!) Additionally, you will learn how growth mindset plays into your sales mindset and how you can create a plan to do more of what you love (speaking!) and bring in the revenue to allow you to outsource much of the rest.

Like all our chapter programs, the morning session will be positioned for the emerging speaker, while the afternoon will be oriented to the experienced speaking professional.

Additionally, as part of the November program, we recommend you bring your Call to Action script (either one you use from the stage OR from your sales call follow up/referral request process) so you can receive immediate feedback on making it work better.

Finding the Venue

  • Walk east along St Paul Ave for approximately 2 blocks, then cross south at N 2nd St.
  • Look for the long covered alleyway between buildings, about a half-block east of 2nd St.
  • Proceed south through the alley, and locate the "313" sign at the building entrance across the courtyard.
  • Once inside, take the elevator up to the 2nd Floor and head straight down the hall to the Ward 4 space. Look for signs to guide you further.

Important Parking Information (it's easier than it might seem)

  • Secure parking is available at Intermodal Lot 3, located at 400 N 3rd Street. You can find the parking lot coordinates here.
  • For easy access, utilize the driveway entrance on the east side of 3rd Street, just north of W St Paul Ave.

Lunch Plans

Lunch will be a fun twist. We'll break at 11:30am and walk the short distance to the Milwaukee Public Market. All meeting attendees will receive a $20 gift card to use with any of the vendors in the market. Once you have ordered and picked up your food, make your way upstairs to the Palm Garden (the 2nd level seating area) where we’ll enjoy some time together.
